Frank the Tank’s Classic Music Video of the Week: The 12 Days of Christmas – John Denver and the Muppets

Reason number 1,015 to be thankful this holiday season for YouTube: Getting to see footage of “John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together” for the first time since my family’s old VHS copy of the iconic TV special became too scratched two decades ago.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Everyone!

(This and a ton of other clips are on the Frank the Tank Channel on YouTube.)

  1. In the interest of Muppet-equality, the album version is slightly different…. Kermit doesn’t sing til the 12th day of Christmas, Fozzie was day 2, and Animal wasn’t present for the festivities. My guess is that when they went into the studio, Animal was drunk and passed out, so they had to rearrange things (also I read something on Fanpet.muppet.org that Kermit had 12th day rights in his contract, and could also call Robin in for “favors”)

    Yeah.

  2. Hey. This is Pete, one of the founders of Yardbarker (www.yardbarker.com). I couldn’t find your email address, but I’d like to speak to you about the linking program that we’re doing with a bunch of sports bloggers. It’s basically a way for you to get a lot more sports fans reading your best posts. Would you mind contacting me at pete@yardbarker.com so I can email you with more info? Thanks.

    Pete
